Rescheduling
Something came up? Move a class to another time your tutor is free.
Depending on the class and the timing, the move happens straight away or goes to the tutor, who accepts it, declines it or offers a different time.
From “can we move this?” to a new time
The student asks
- 1
The student opens the class and presses Reschedule on the session they want to move.
- 2
A dialog shows only the tutor's free slots for the next 28 days. The student picks one and writes a reason, which is required.
- 3
The request is sent and the session shows Reschedule pending.
The tutor decides
- 4
The tutor opens their Reschedule requests queue and picks one of three actions: Accept, Reject or Suggest another time.
Everyone knows what's next
- 5
If the tutor accepts, the session moves and shows Rescheduled. If they reject, the student sees Request again.
- 6
If the tutor suggests a time, the student sees Tutor suggested … with Accept and Decline. Accepting moves the class; declining closes the request.
Fair for students, kind to tutors
Only real free time can be chosen
Free slots are the tutor’s weekly hours minus booked classes and approved leave. If a slot fills up while the student is deciding, they simply pick again. A tutor suggesting a time can only offer one of their own free slots.
One request at a time
Each session can have only one open request per student, so the tutor’s queue never fills with duplicates.
Instant moves, when it’s safe
In a one-to-one class, a move can be approved automatically when the session is more than 7 days away and the new time doesn’t clash with anything for the tutor. Otherwise it goes to the tutor as a normal request.
Shared and group classes always go to the tutor, because one student’s move affects everyone else.
The free-change policy
The default rules for every move.
Free-change cutoff

Rules that fit every student
Policies can be set per student, per class, per grade or platform-wide. The most specific level that has a value wins, so a student-level exception overrides the class rule.
Students can cancel too
In a one-to-one class, the same flow can cancel a session instead of moving it, under the same policy rules.
