Feature guide

How the platform works

Live classes, study material and assessment: what each feature is and what it does for students and tutors.

Part A

Live classes

Everything around a tutoring session: planning the timetable, moving or adding sessions, teaching in the room, and what students get afterwards.

01

Class scheduling

Scheduling turns a weekly pattern, such as "Monday and Thursday at 6 pm", into a full calendar of sessions for a class. It also decides when people can join, ends sessions that don't happen, and reminds everyone before class.

02

Rescheduling

Rescheduling lets a student move a class to another time the tutor is free. Depending on the class and the timing, the move happens straight away or goes to the tutor, who accepts it, declines it, or offers a different time.

03

Extra class

An extra class lets a student get a session sooner than planned, for example before an exam. The admin brings the class's last session forward to the date the student asked for. The student gets help when they need it, and the total number of classes they paid for doesn't change.

04

Extend class

When a class reaches its booked end time, the tutor can ask to keep going for a few more minutes. The extra time is free, and it only happens if the student agrees.

05

Whiteboard

A shared digital whiteboard built into every live class. The tutor writes, draws and builds diagrams, and students follow along live. The tutor can let students draw, or give each student their own board.

06

Class recordings

Every live class is recorded automatically: video, screen share and whiteboard. Students who have recordings in their plan, or who unlock them, can rewatch any past class.

AI class summary

After each class, the platform's AI assistant, Veda, reads what was said and writes a short study recap. It covers the key points, what to review, next steps and homework, and comes with a few flashcards. Students find it on the lecture's Recap page and in their notes.

Part B

Study material

Self-study content organised by curriculum: Curriculum → Program → Subject → HL/SL → Unit → Topic → Subtopic. A student opens My Subjects, picks a subject and sees tiles for Notes, Lessons, Question Bank, Flashcards, Test Series and Workbooks. The first topic of every unit is free; the rest comes with the subject's content plan.

08

Notes

Notes come in two kinds. Library notes are written by our content team for every subtopic of the syllabus. My Notes are the student's own notes for each class, with an AI summary added after the lesson. Tutors can also share files and links with a class.

09

Textbook

Textbooks live inside the live class. The tutor uploads a textbook as a PDF and teaches from its pages in a shared notebook, writing on them live. Each student keeps their own copy to annotate during and after class.

Workbooks

Workbooks are interactive books that teach a topic step by step. Where a subject has enough practice questions, the workbook acts as a personal AI tutor: it explains a concept, asks a question, and adjusts to how the student is doing. Otherwise it is an interactive reader with questions built in.

11

Videos (Lessons)

Short video lessons for each subtopic of the syllabus, shown under Lessons in every subject. They also appear inside workbooks when a student needs another way in to a concept.

12

Flashcards

Flashcards help students remember key facts using spaced repetition: each card comes back just before you're likely to forget it. There are ready-made decks for every subtopic, and students can also generate their own decks with AI.

13

Question bank

A large bank of exam-style questions, each with a mark scheme and worked solution. Students build practice sets from it by question type, difficulty and length, with AI hints along the way. The same bank also feeds quizzes, test series, workbooks and in-class polls.

Part C

Assessment

Work that is set, attempted and marked: homework tied to a class, quick auto-marked quizzes, and full exam-style test series.

14

Assignments & submission

Tutors set homework after a class, students hand it in online (typed, as a file, or both), and the tutor marks it with written feedback. Tutors can also assign a whole test series to a class with a due date. Separately, every student has a personal homework planner to keep track of what's due.

15

Quizzes

Short quizzes that tutors put together from the question bank, either for one class or for every student. They are marked automatically the moment a student submits, with a score and a full answer review.

16

Test series

Full exam-style papers, such as mock exams, past papers, predicted papers and topic tests, taken under real exam conditions. Marking combines instant auto-marking, an AI first pass and a tutor's final check. Results come with grades, topic-by-topic mastery and analytics.
