Class scheduling
Turn a weekly pattern like “Monday and Thursday at 6 pm” into a full calendar of classes.
It also decides when people can join, closes sessions that don't happen and reminds everyone before class.
From a weekly pattern to a live class
Set up once
- 1
The admin creates the class during onboarding: students, tutor, days, start times and session length.
- 2
The platform generates every session from that pattern. Times are set in India time.
- 3
The tutor keeps their weekly availability up to date, so later moves only land on times they can teach.
Never miss a class
- 4
Students see upcoming sessions under My Classrooms › Live Lectures and can press Add to Calendar for Google Calendar or any calendar app.
- 5
Reminders go out 24 hours before, 1 hour before and at start time, plus a WhatsApp, SMS or email about 30 minutes before.
Walk into class
- 6
The join button appears 30 minutes before class. The tutor can start from 15 minutes before, when the waiting lobby opens.
- 7
The class goes live once the tutor and at least one student are in. Students can't enter before the tutor starts it.
Change it any time
- 8
If the timetable needs to change, the admin edits it: the weekly pattern, all upcoming sessions, one session, cancel or restore, or a one-off extra.
The smart bits behind the timetable
Two ways to create a class
Edits never break links
Moving, renaming or resizing a session updates it in place. Its class link, recording and attendance stay attached through every change, and tutors can tweak a single session from their side too.
Late tutors still deliver the full class
The class runs its full booked length, counted from whichever is later: the scheduled start or the moment the tutor joined.
Sessions that don’t happen close themselves
No one has to tidy up an empty room.
Tutor never arrives
Class is cancelled
One-to-one student never arrives
Class ends — tutor still paid in full
Everyone left after the booked time
Class ends
Only one person left in a started class
Class ends
Classes only land when the tutor is free
Tutors publish their weekly open hours. Rescheduling and the admin slot finder use those hours, minus anything already booked and any approved leave.
