AI class summary
After every class, Veda writes a short study recap from what was actually said.
Key points, what to review, next steps and homework, plus a few flashcards. Students find it on the lecture's Recap page and in their notes.
From live class to study recap
Every word becomes a transcript
- 1
During class, live captions turn speech into text, and every finished line is saved as the class transcript.
- 2
At the end, the tutor can press Save recap to store the transcript together with the whiteboard.
A study pack, on the spot
- 3
Anyone in the room can open the post-class tab and generate a study pack on the spot.
A recap for every class, automatically
- 4
About 90 minutes after class, the platform also writes a recap for every class that ended.
- 5
The recap is copied into each enrolled student's My Notes for that lecture.
Open the Recap page
- 6
Students open the lecture's Recap page, which has three tabs: Recap, Insights and Full transcript.
A recap you can trust
What the summary contains
- A 2–3 sentence summary
- 3–6 key points
- 2–4 homework items
- 3–6 flashcards
- 4–6 key points
- 3–5 things to review
- Next steps
Only what was said in class
The AI is told to use only what was actually said in class and not to add anything else. If there's no transcript, the session recap falls back to the class's topic and details.
Your writing is never overwritten
When a recap is copied into My Notes, it goes into a separate summary area. Anything the student typed themselves is never overwritten. A pack generated by a student is for them only; one generated by the tutor is shared with the whole class.
The AI behind it
Veda runs on Anthropic's Claude models through AWS. The same assistant powers explanations, hints and quizzes elsewhere on the platform.
